Our service

What does SignedLedger do?

We provide bookkeeping services for small and growing businesses. Our AI assistant VERA collects, codes and reconciles your transactions every day, and a named ICB-certified bookkeeper reviews and signs off your books every month.

Who signs off my books?

A named, qualified bookkeeper on our team. SignedLedger is certified and licensed by The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB), licence no. 25211, so the person who signs off is accountable to professional standards.

Who is VERA?

VERA, our Verified Entry & Reconciliation Agent, is the AI assistant that prepares the work: reading documents, coding transactions and matching your bank. It asks a person whenever it is unsure and never guesses.

Which bookkeeping services do you offer?

Daily bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, invoice and bill processing, budgeting support, month-end close, management accounts, and multi-currency and multi-entity bookkeeping.

Do you file VAT, GST or tax returns?

No. We do bookkeeping only. We deliver reconciled, signed-off books, and your accountant or tax adviser uses them to prepare and submit returns.

Do you work with clients outside the UK?

Yes. We are a dedicated team of 8 professionals based in London, supporting clients across every time zone, in GBP, EUR and USD.

Software

Which accounting software do you support?

Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, plus other systems we can integrate with, such as NetSuite, Zoho Books and FreshBooks. Availability is confirmed during your free review.

Do I need to switch software?

No. We work inside your existing file, so your data stays where it is and you keep full ownership.

Do I need a bookkeeper if I already use Xero or QuickBooks?

The software automates bank feeds and suggestions, but someone still has to code transactions correctly, investigate differences, post month-end journals and check the balances. That is the work we do, so your reports are accurate and ready for your accountant.

How is my data protected?

Your books stay in your own accounting file, under your own subscription. You decide what access we have and can remove it at any time, and every action taken by VERA or your bookkeeper is logged.

Pricing

How much does a bookkeeper cost?

It depends on your transaction volume, the number of accounts and how complex your business is. Our Starter plan is a fixed £130, €130 or $130 a month for up to 80 transactions and one bank account. Larger businesses get a fixed monthly quote based on their last three months of bank statements.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. You receive a clear fixed monthly price before you commit, and it covers VERA, automatic bank reconciliation and sign-off by an ICB-certified bookkeeper.

How do I get a quote?

Share your last three months of bank statements. We assess your volume, accounts and complexity, then send a fixed monthly quote with no obligation.

Getting started

How do I get started?

Book a free bookkeeping review. We look at a recent month of your books, show you what VERA would automate, and send a clear proposal with a fixed monthly price and your named bookkeeper.

Can you catch up on a backlog?

Yes. VERA works through months of past transactions quickly, and your bookkeeper signs off each month as it is completed, so you see progress from the first week.

How quickly can you start?

Once you accept your proposal and give us access, VERA starts work straight away and your first period is signed off as part of onboarding.
